Hi Blaire,

It looks like you have two different things in there. One is Aegilops cylindrica (jointed goat grass), and the other is an annual brome, probably Japanese brome (Bromus japonicus), though it could be Downy brome (Bromus tectorum). Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi there! I had a producer come in seeking assistance in identifying a plant in his pasture. He said this past year, it has taken over the pasture. He usually grazes cattle on this pasture and wanted to make sure it was safe. It's located outside of Beloit, KS. I have attached photos; however, if I need to send a sample to the herbarium for identification, I am happy to do so!
