What's going wrong?
Previously uploaded attachments lost from Gmail

Have you looked for another ticket that might already be about your bug? If

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create an email draft on the web interface of gmail
2. Upload a file on the web interface as attachment of the email
3. Save the draft
4. Open the draft from K-9, then send it - attachment is lost forever

What do you expect to have happen?
When sending the email it should send the attachment as well.
Please note that I do not want K-9 to download the attachment to my phone,
I just want it to send it directly from the Gmail account.

What do you see instead?
Attachment is lost

What version of K-9 are you using?
4.200

What is your device and what version of Android are you using?
ZTE Blade, Android 2.3

Is your email account a POP account, Exchange Account or an IMAP account?
Gmail IMAP

I can confirm this with my individual webhoster. So this is not Gmail only.
Version I use: 4.320

I can confirm it.

There is no way to get/forward attachment from drafts folder.
Attachment icon appears on draft email list thought. But when you want to
edit the draft, there is no attachment.

I can confirm it.

confirmed with S5 android 4.4 - this is criticially to work for me, i will
change to another email app if not resolved quickly.

I'm also experiencing this issue, I believe it's a general issue with IMAP
draft handling rather than just GMail. This should relatively easy be
fixable by providing a "download complete message" option like for emails
in the inbox.

Sorry for the dual post -- Just wanted to add that the issue indeed
disappears when removing the message size limitation for syncing on the
account.

Confirmed with K-9 Mail version 5.006, Android Kitkat.

When I am creating a draft mail with photos attached with another email
client and when I open and change this email with K-9 email client, the
images are lost.

I would regard that bug as severe, because user data gets lost without
knowing beforehand.

what i learn form this.Just compose an email, attach your files, and send
this to your own self which you can send it again by your mobile to any
other address.
