In order for us to have a chance at helping you with a complex issue, we're
going to need a debug log from your phone. You can dramatically increase
the chances of a quick and successful resolution to this issue by following
the directions at https://github.com/k9mail/k-9/wiki/LoggingErrors -- If
you can't give us a trace, there's a pretty good chance that we won't be
able to act on your bug report.

Note that all user-reported issues default to "Type-Defect" and are not
changeable. We can figure out if it should be something else.

What else should we know?k9 is bringing to the inbox emails previously
deleted (within the last month) from the server

Comment #2 on issue 4426 by drdaup...@gmail.com: k9 mail not showing
Since the problem relates to incoming mail with "Outlook item file"
attached, I can not replicate until another email with like attachment is
received--which I did receive another this morning and again, no attachment
was visible when the email is opened. I can see and open the attachment on
the regular Android (not gmail) email as well as on my pc (viewed through
Outlook). Is this a "support" problem? I can attempt to follow the
LoggingErrors but as I read the instructions, the idea was to replicate the
error--since it's incoming mail, it's beyond my control. Please advise.

if you are reffering to winmail.dat attachments:
we don't support them. They are not normal attachments.

to get the full message source in outlook your have to tweak your pc
settings [0]
another possible would be to send the mail so someone who has thunderbird,
because at thunderbird it's easy to get the full message source
(keyshortcut: CTRL+ U)

to generate an debug log you can forward the mail to yourself while logging.

winmain.dat is not supported

When using POP3, attachments can only be seen if enough data of the message
has been downloaded. If only the text preceding the attachment is
downloaded due to the download limit, K-9 Mail can't know there's an
attachment.
