PanTech im-840, android 4.1

On Google market there is K9 4.2, it works but has localisation bugs.

I installed 4.390 and 4.502, they work for all accounts but crash on ya.ru
when trying to sync inbox.
I turned tls off, turned deletion propagation, did clear data and recreate
data - nothing changes. As soon as there is data connection, it keeps
crashing and restarting.

sorry, seems all imap accounts crash on sync...

wanted to revert to last from Google Market, uninstalled - at it removed
all settings as well

installed .502 a clean, added imap account by hands, as soon as lines
like "inbox 0/12345" got into statusbar, the K9 instantly crashes

It looks like your Android version is missing a method in the class
java.nio.charset.Charset. That makes it essentially broken.

If you're using a custom ROM, try using another one. If not, complain to
the device manufacturer.

and, well, can JAR even be loaded, if it linked to the non-existing
package/class/method ?

dex is not jar, but the very idea of class loaders should be the same
