e-mail file attachments disappear when saved

When I’ve saved pdf or jpg files attached to incoming e-mails on my N5 / android 4.4.2  I get a notification that they have been saved – but I can’t find them on the N5 using apps on the N5 and I can’t find them with Windows File Explorer when the N5 is USB attached to a PC.

 

Seems to be a bug in K-9.

Mine get saved on the root of the sdcard, did you check there?

Yes, I checked all of internal storage starting with the root and going through all the folders.
