I use K9 for two AOL email accounts.  One of these was hacked so I had to change my password.  I did that but now have to change the password on my phone in the K9 app so I can send and receive messages from my phone but cannot figure out how to do that.

The easiest way might be to just delete the account and then create a new one. K-9 will prompt you for a password and then you can just enter the new correct one.

Thank you. I figured that would be my last option. One that I didn't want to do.  :-(   Lol  I just thought I would check since it seems like an easy thing to do on other applications... Changing a password that is.  If I have to download the entire app again,  I have to go back through and change all the K9 settings of my preference. Was trying to avoid doing but that thank you for the feedback. That was very nice of you!

No you don't have to uninstall the app or anything like that. Just go to the accounts screen and long press on the account you want to delete. Then select delete from the menu that pops up.

To add a new account, just select the plus sign at the bottom.

If you want to preserve all your account settings then yes changing the passwords as opposed to deleting the accounts and starting new ones is the way to go. You have to change it in to places for each account: fetching mail/incoming server and sending mail/outgoing server.

If you need more detail let me know.

Ohhhhhhh... Will definitely try that. Thank you again!

You don't have to delete your account either. This would be an awful
application if you had to do that to change a password.

Go to the "Account Settings" menu and go to "Fetching mail" then
"Incoming Server Settings" and change the password there.

Dp the same for "Sending mail" and "Outgoing server settings" if you
need a password to send mail.

And just in case...
