Notification unreadable when in night mode receiving multiple emails

When Samsung S8 in night mode (dark theme) and k-9 received more than 1 email the notification is White letters on white background. When expanding this notification black background is used instead and everything is readable again. When receiving just 1 email also dark background is correctly used. Where can I configure the correct color or is it a bug?

This seems to be a bug in Samsung's Android version that affects older

apps. The current K-9 Mail beta versions (5.7xx) don't seem to be
affected by this.
