K-9 on Android 4.X tablets with big screen

Hello,
I like very much K-9 on my phone, so when I have got 10" tablet running Android 4.0.3, among first applications I installed K-9. But it looks same as on phone, it does not take any advantage of big screen and usability is therefore lower than of native Android e-mail client. It's ugly at all. :-( On the other hand, default e-mail client has practically no functions, so I use K-9, but I'd appreciate some design changes to make it more suitable for tablets. Might be I should note I transferred settings from the phone to the tablet (export, import).

i think Kaiten mail has some optimizations for huge displays. Kaiten
is based on k9 and developed by the creator of k9

i guess if we migrate to Fragments (android 4.x feature) in k9, it
will run better on tablets anyway.

currently dzan works at the actionbar (also android 4.x feature) but
there is still work todo.

so no there are no concrete timetable (just an mid range goal to use
android 4 features in the future)
