A couple of UI questions

I don’t know if this is just a quirk of my phone and tablet, but the icon that show that I’ve opened the email is a closed envelope and the icon that shows that I haven’t opened it yet is an open envelope. Is this something that is backwards for everybody?

Also, on one of my devices I can set up a combined mailbox, and on the other I cannot. I’m not sure what is different between them. Sometimes it is handy to look at everything that came in, sometimes I just want to see a particular account.

The issue that the envelope icon is wrong is true with my Sony Xperia XZ with Android 9 too!

Just a crazy bug.

All of my many generic phones and tablets do not exhibit this misbehavior. The icons don't change at all. What changes is row highlighted or faded based on read/unread status.

Andy, you misunderstand the effect of this bug.

Of course the row in the list bold as long as the new email has not been opened.

But, whenever I open an email, the icon of a closed letter is shown on top, although it has already been opened.

When I tap on this icon, it changes to an open envelope.

Then this email will be shown bold i.e. not read in the list.

Actually it should be vice versa!

But this is totally misleading.

When an email has been opened the envelope should be open!
