Hello,
I am searching for a function to group emails by day and mark all of that day.
After 7 days by week, month.

Is there an option?

What you are asking is outside of the domain of any email client.

Outlook can do that: in the inbox after all of today's mails there is a caption named "yesterday" followed by all mails from yesterday, followed by another caption...

I personally don't need captions between mails, though.

Really? Off the top of my head, Thunderbird can do this, and KMail even do that out of a box.

We're discussing a little Android mail client here. Please interpret my reply within those boundaries.

If the actual problem is spam:
Spam is an arm's race where many groups of people try to write mails that evade spam detection in many ways, the owners of 10000s of mailboxes try to find regularities in spam mails that might be used for to detect spam (knowing that mailing lists look like spam and the same newsletter might be spam and vital information) and the people writing spam filters.

Big email providers can provide 10000 canary boxes that catch spam by measures Thet include measuring the timing when which mail arrives where.

How is this discussion of spam related to k-9 mail?

Given that K-9 is basically the only MUA for Android, every single feature request might be discarded on this reason. :-)

(I personally am not asking for this minor UI addition, though.)
