Folder List

I am a big fan of K-9 mail. I have set up a few devices with it so
far .... so I am far from an expert but I am confused:

I sent up a client with a POP account. When I go into folder list,
there are NO other folders but the inbox. Strange because my other
installations all created spam / trash / sent / outgoing / etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pop3 does not support folders
instead of imap which does support serverside folders quite well.

I'm not looking for server side folders. Perhaps I am not expressing
myself well enough.

When set up other Android devices with K-9 (setup as POP accounts),
there are folders created in K-9. My last installation did not
automatically create these folders and I do not know why.

Special folders are only created on demand. "Trash" when you delete a
message, "Sent" when a message has been sent successfully etc.

Thanks!

I sent an email which was responded to, but I cannot see the email I sent in any 'Sent' folders.
I am assuming that as per your post below I should be seeing a 'SENT' folder.

Perhaps we're suffering from definitions.
While a folder may be CREATED as needed, it doesn't seem to be DISPLAYED.
My sent messages wind up in a folder called NONE that also seems to have DRAFTS and SENT

This wasn't an issue before ICS. Am I doing something wrong?

hmm ok please create an debug log and open an issue at our bugtracker if
haven't done already.

also attach the pictures there. If there is nothing suspicius in the
debug log, i guess you have to reinstall k9.

I have also noticed some slight weirdness with folder names, not sure
if I should create bug reports about these?

The matter is that I switch locale from time to time and my gmail account
now has these folders (viweing with gmail app):

[Imap]/Drafts
[Imap]/Entwrfe
[Imap]/Gesendet
[Imap]/Sent
... etc etc.

So far did not see any real malfunction resulting from this but of course
it is harder to find sent emails or drafts when they may end up in various
folders. Not sure if the Imap/Sent folder is accessible at all after switching
to German locale?

The ability to subscribe to IMAP folders seems to have disappeared in recent versions. Certainly it is the case on 4.307.  I spend an hour trying to find it.

( OT - Setting the batch buttons no longer work. One has to have the default whatever is choosen. Addititionally, versions from 4.308 now do not have batch buttons at all on the Inbox screen. Instead it only open the File into Folder. )
