Scrolling regression in long answers/5.7.000

I like the looks of 5.700. And I have found a small regression I can report: when replying to a mail and trying to scroll within the response the whole screen is scrolled instead.
In case that matters (or in case this is the actual place the bug is in) I am using a Moto G5 with the current omnirom Android 9 image.

Are you using Beta? Play Store show me 5.600 and that's what I have installed.

Beta. The release notes told there are so many changes that regressions are to be expected.

...and seems like the regression doesn't occur without me doing wild things whilst writing the mail (rotating my phone or locking the screen for a while).
