The first line of the error text is:

Update your outgoing server authentication
setting. AUTOMATIC auth. is unavailable.

What are your "outgoing server" settings?

Your settings show you using port 25. Now days, this is uncommon and
often unreliable as connectivity providers frequently block port 25
on consumer-grade connections. Check your mail provider's
documentation for their imap/pop outgoing server settings. Generally
they will have you using either port 465 or 587 (ssl and starttls
respectively). The error message that you originally included would
also indicate that your use of port 25 is not consistent with your
mail provider's setup.

Are you using different WiFi connections at times, as well as your cellular data service? If sometimes you are connecting via one network, which allows connecting to port 25 on a remote server, and at other times are using a different connection that blocks port 25, this might explain the varied results. If you try sending a message via K-9, and it is blocked, immediately try sending a message via the built-in mail program and see if it is blocked also.

I use the same connection, and when k9 produce error message, i immediately send letter by the default mail agent and it sends to target successful.
