I installed yesterday version 5.700 and today I reverted back to 5.600.

On 5.700 I liked very much how the settings are organized now, in one menu,
but that was not enough to keep it installed.

What I missed:
  -  Within an email folder the swipe action to start marking emails for deletion, moving, or junking.
  -  The account page with it's comprehensive overview about starred and new emails per account.
This is one of the main distinguishing features of K9 compared to other apps.

The hamburger drop down looks modern but lacks actual email account status information.
It also feels inefficient compared to the classic K9 account overview.

For people with only a few email accounts it might be OK.
But I've about 15 accounts to monitor where K9 currently dwarfs any alternatives.

I suggest to keep the redesign of the settings and at least keep the
5.600 account overview as option for the user to choose.

Thanks for the great work.
Regards
Martin

Note that HOLD->Select performs this function in the new version.

Presumably it wouldn't be hard to add these stats to the slide-in panel?
Would that satisfy those who don't like the loss of the old overview?

cheers,
calum.

Yeah I found that too, but just a swipe (like it is in 5.6) is quicker and needs one less interaction.

Hi Calum,

I just saw the other comment about adding the stats to the account selector.
IMO the stats are a must, but I'd still miss the option to jump directly to the new, starred, or folder view for an account.
I use them frequently. If they could be added as well I'll give 5.7 another shot.

The 5.6 concept is quite slick. I admit it took some adjusting coming from the gmail app when I started to use K9 but I grew into it quickly.
It's just efficient.

Best

Good point about the direct jump to views, yes.

Agreed. My phone is huge, and I hold it in my right hand. Not ideal.
