Hey GSoC folks,

Time to get to know each other a bit, since we'll be working together
for the next couple of months.

I'm Leigh - I'm org admin as well as cketti's mentor. I got started on
poking around K9 a few months ago because I wanted to add a feature for
my Dad (he doesn't like attaching the message body when he replies).

I'm just wrapping up my undergrad at the University of Toronto and am
currently doing the whole job-hunting thing. I'll be moving to Seattle
at some point between July and next year (plans are a bit up in the air)
but for now I'm in Ottawa, Canada.

I'm involved in a bunch of different open source projects, including
Ubuntu, GnuCash, Plover (open source stenography software) and a
yet-to-be-named Morse code keyboard project :)

I do computer security work professionally, and for fun I make robots,
consume a lot of science fiction, play Wii games, and go on adventures.
Oh an attend and speak at way too many conferences! You can see the
talks I've given here: http://hypatia.ca/speaking . If you've ever
wondered about giving talks at conferences, feel free to ask me! I help
run one, and have spoken at quite a few others.

My superpowers are being able to sleep anywhere, procrastination, and
really good hearing.

How bout everyone else? You don't have to be as verbose as me. I am
just procrastinating on going to bed.

My name is Kris. I got started on K-9 when I was shocked to find that there was no acceptable email client for Android outside of HTC Sense. At that time K-9 did not work for me either, since I was using Exchange, but at least it was open so that I could try to hack on it and get it working. Having no Android experience and little Java experience, I was hoping for a small patch. However, a few lines quickly turned into ~2000, and before I knew it I had all but completely rewritten the authentication with Exchange. My knowledge of K-9's workings are mostly limited to Exchange support, and as such, I am Vitaly's mentor for the EAS port.

Outside of that, I am a senior engineer at Seapine Software, and a term adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati. I have been developing professionally for over 7 years. I use C++ on a daily basis, but also have some knowledge of C#, PHP, and now Java.
