Hello i am syed and i am a developer and i want to contribute my skills in your project such as you can use the XNPP in place of IMAP V4 and also i want to built an iOS app of k-9 mail so that the apple users also enjoy the services of k-9

Sorry for not responding earlier.

2018 GSoC is still up for review.

iOS support is not really suitable for a GSoC project - it's a complete rewrite of the app which would be hard to maintain long term.

XMPP is really designed for chat, not email, so it's quite a different platform. I don't think it integrates particularly well.
