As many of you know, I am involved with a nonprofit organization called BLESS USA (“BLESS” is an acronym for a much longer name translated from Arabic…I promise we are not a scary cult) which serves Egypt’s poorest Coptic Orthodox Christians.  The organization runs 7 programs throughout Egypt that deliver essential services to families who are living on an income of less than $25/month.  Over the last 52 years, BLESS has funded the construction and repair of housing, subsidized treatments for cancer, MS and hepatitis patients, and made thousands of small business loans.

 

This year, BLESS is included among the charitable organizations qualified to receive donations through the Amazon Smile program, and I was hoping you would consider selecting us as a beneficiary charity when you do your Amazon shopping.  The Smile program donates .5% of the price of eligible Amazon purchases to qualifying charitable organizations – so there’s no extra cost to you.  You can purchase the same products for the same prices (including any Amazon Prime benefits).  If you already have an Amazon account, just log in at smile.amazon.com.  (You can also create a new account on that page.)  Once you log in, enter BLESS USA and select “Bishopric Of Public Ecumenical And Social Services-Usa Inc” and continue shopping as usual.  At an exchange rate of ~7.15 EGP/dollar, a little bit goes a very long way, so it would mean so much to us and those we serve if you would keep us in mind as you do your holiday shopping this year.
