To any local Bay Area educators -
Offer: New in box, xTool Screen Printer-1st Screen Printing Solution with Laser Basic Kit. I backed the project and when we unboxed it a while back, we realized (duh) we needed an xTool laser to use it. Attempted a Glowforge work-around, but decided it is not worth it to possibly break our Glowforge. :)
I also have a couple 3D printers that are steps away from the landfill. I imagine you don't want them, since folks are already fond of dropping their old 3D printers at *our* makerspace as "donations if we want to fix them." None of the machines are hopelessly broken--some updated firmware and maybe a replacement part of two should suffice. However, as with all makerspaces, our maintenance backlog is long and storage for broken things and in-progress projects is limited. And yes, I do offer to fix them with kids, but their enthusiasm and confidence far outpaces their tenacity. I don't want to offer machines on Buy Nothing or Free sites, since I don't want to falsely get newbies' hopes up. These machines are fixable, but you all know what you are getting yourselves into and whether it is worth it to you. :) I can even tell you what is roughly wrong with each machine, if you'd like. Or take them for parts?
