Hi All,

While this contest may be aimed at professionals, I think it would be a great journey for teens with access to 3D printers: http://3dprint.com/93978/heijmans-contest-cladding/ If you are familiar with the 3D Print Canal House, this contest is driven by the same Amsterdam group. Contest invites designers to design 3D print wall cladding of the future. This can be framed as an exploration in pattern, texture, history of architecture and bio-mimicry. (Ask Nature is a great resource for bio-mimicry research.)

Also, along the same theme of architecture applications of 3D printing, the NASA 3D Print Habitat Challenge is an interesting journey to follow at the NY Maker Faire in late Sept. Here is one group, RedWorks, whose innovative design was selected as a finalist.
