Greetings, all,
I'm a project manager working with an education company
Bosch/Dremel hired, O’Donnell Learn, to develop 20 STEM/STEAM lessons that will
be offered as part of Dremel's Dream Builder curriculum for its Idea Builder 3D
printers. Mark Barnett suggested I join this group so that I can post a
work-for-hire opportunity for STEM/STEAM teachers. This is that posting! In
short, I'm on a quest to find creative primary, middle, and secondary school
teachers who are innovating in the area of using 3D printers with their
students.
A few other
preliminary notes:
- ·
We are focusing on project-based learning with
an emphasis on 21st Century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration,
and communication).
- ·
We will be developing 20 lesson plans (five for
grades 3 – 5; ten for grades 6 – 8; and five for grades 9 – 12)—multiple teachers
will be hired, likely at least three, one for each grade cluster.
- ·
The project is starting now and is scheduled to
be completed by the end of August.
- ·
The pay is per lesson and includes the full development
process, from idea to delivery of final drafts and a sample .stl file. It also
includes a first-pass at aligning each lesson with CCSS and NGSS.
- ·
Bosch will supply loaner printers and the
preferred software is Autodesk’s Tinkercad and 123D, but the lessons should be
essentially design software-agnostic.
- ·
Your having curriculum development experience
would be a huge plus--J.
