Introducing the Butter Jam Express

Hi everyone

There is a noticeable lack of student bands at my school. This experiment aims to foment musical creativity and promote playing music together as a way to relax and have fun. It's a rolling platform with the following bolted to it: a drum set, a pair of conga drums, two amps, an electric guitar, a bass, and mic and some percussion instruments. I got everything on craigslist. Last week I set it up in the cafeteria to see what would happen. The results have been great- during lunch periods there's usually a mix of kids, teachers, and staff jamming on it. As a bonus it's going to be the official pace vehicle for our annual kinetic sculpture race in the spring - kids playing the race theme song (TBA) as it goes around the track.
