Hi all,
I have something I'd like to share with you, and hope you share it with your colleagues and networks. It's a symposium on reinventing mathematics education. Now - why do I think this is appropriate for a Fab Lab and MakerSpace group? (Besides getting to come to Los Angeles in January?)

It's because in most schools, math class is a bastion of non-hands-on, non-constructivist, technology-free zone. If we think that digital fabrication and hands-on learning are the key to climbing the hill of education reform - math class is the peak of that mountain.

Luckily, this symposium has a powerhouse lineup of mathematics educators who want to change the world - and rock your world. Check this out:

The Willows Community School is hosting a symposium, Reinventing Mathematics Education, January 4, 2016. This world-class event features Conrad Wolfram, Constance Kamii, and Ilana Horn speaking and leading workshops.

Registration is limited and early-bird discount registration ends November 1st. Team discounts are also available.

Read about the event and who should attend here.

Please share this information widely.
