I am new to laser engraving/cutting. My district got me a wecreat vision 40w laser engraver. I would like to engrave some matte finish porcelain tiles. I have seen set up and settings for ceramic tiles (clean, prepaint surface, etc). What I am wondering is if the setup is the same or if it is different for a matte finish.

Any help or direction on where I can go to learn more would be helpful. All I see is how to work with shiny ceramic tiles.

John-

I have never engraved on these tiles, but I would recommend just experimenting with your settings until you get something that you like. It shouldn't take too long to figure out the settings. Just keep at it!

Best of luck,

John,

Never tried porcelain tiles but I have engraved slate often.  The settings I use are:  Speed: 100%, Power:  20%, Resolution 300
Might be a good starting point?
