Makerspace Cohort at ISEEN Summer Institute this summer - near Boulder, CO

Hi everyone,

I want to let everyone know about a really amazing experiential learning opportunity (with a Makerspace cohort option) that we will be hosting at Dawson in Colorado this summer. The ISEEN Summer Institute will take place at Dawson School just east of Boulder, CO from June 24 - 28, 2025. I will be co-facilitating the Makerspace Pedagogy cohort where we will be exploring how makerspaces educators can intentionally design experiential learning into their classes as well as integrating makerspace activities across the K-12 curriculum. 

Last year was my first experience at the ISEEN Summer Institute and it was an amazing opportunity to connect with educators from around the US and beyond around how we can purposefully create more meaningful learning opportunties for our students.

June 24 - 28 , 2025, the Independent Schools Experiential Education Network (ISEEN) will be convening over 70 classroom educators in Boulder, Colorado for their annual Summer Teachers Institute Program.

 

This Institute fuses rigorous academic disciplines with deep thinking about the cognitive learning process through the experiential learning cycle. This professional development opportunity is for teachers who want to delve deeper into experiential education and reflective teaching practices while immersed in experiential and place-based activities on the front range of Colorado. The Summer Institute brings experiential education to the classroom in a practical, curriculum-based, and supportive environment led by master teacher facilitators from schools around North America.

The Institute is conducted in partnership with the Dawson School. It is truly a magical, transformative, and restorative experience through the incredible leadership of our team of facilitators.

There will  be a discounted hotel rate for ISEEN Summer Institute participants in Longmont, CO. All transportation for the Institute will pick up and drop off participants at this location.
