Hi everyone,

We've been loving out 45w Full spectrum Laser cutter and we're ordering another one.  They have both 90w and 120w versions.  I was wondering if anyone has experience with either 90w or 120w lasers and if they are work the extra money.  I've heard that the tubes last longer as well as being more powerful.  What's your experience been?

We have an Epilog Fusion 120w.
Does anyone have any tips, tricks, materials or good old fashion suggestions for using this machine the right way to cut thicker material?
I feel like i'm always cleaning the lens, losing power, and focus is never perfect.

The ability to cut thicker materials is not just a factor of the wattage but also of the focal distance of the len. If you are going to regularly cut thicker materials, you might want to get a different focal length lens.  Here's the summary from Epilog http://support.epiloglaser.com/article/8205/42831/focus-lens-101

Short of that, you can try manually refocusing the laser slightly closer after the first cut... it will still give you a slight bevel but will increase the likelihood of cutting through.
