Anyone had successful experience cutting 3/8” marine plywood on a 120 W Epilog laser cutter (or similar)?
I’m cutting silhouettes that will go outdoors, and using marine plywood bc the glue is not water soluble.
Lenses are cleaned, beams are aligned, and I am using a 4” focus lens. I tried the spec from the manual (8% speed, 100% power) and it practically sets the wood on fire. More luck with multiple passes at faster speeds, lower power, and moving the focus down in each pass.
Would love to hear others’ experiences and thoughts.
Thanks,
Diane
