Hi all, saw this: http://toolguyd.com/skil-cordless-power-cutter-is-exactly-what-we-needed/ - anyone using something like this? This particular cutter is no longer available on Amazon. Just wondering. TIA!

My students and I love this tool. We have 2 in our lab and they get tons of use. There is an older thread on this forum that also recommends a few others.

That might be it. I can't get it to open on my cell phone properly. There were also recommendations for electric scissors and some surgeons sheers?

Awesome thanks again. Great tips there. Going to try those medical shears. Bought some hacksaw blades recently, they're coming with me to school today, and I'm gonna make them into handheld saws. And I just nabbed one of these to see how they work out:

The Black & Decker one looks amazing and we might get one for September but when I'm buying stuff with my own money (like now) cost is a factor!

Hi Kevin,
Another indispensable tool for cutting cardboard with younger makers/fabers or even with large groups is this super safe alternative to the traditional box cutter.
You should be able to pic this up from amazon or even other big box home improvement stores closer to you.
Not electric but works well and we have been using it in our space with youngsters for quite awhile.
Hope this helps,
Ryan

Couldn't agree more! The Klever Kutters revolutionized the way we work with kids in the Duct Tape Network's Maker Clubs...

Best,

Leo

Just bought 4 of these  and they work great, but are getting hard to find.

FYI, these amazing powered rotary cutters are back in stock at Amazon:

They are also still available at the Worx site Jackson linked below, a little cheaper even, including free shipping.

Hope this helps,
