Sublimation Printer Reccomendation

Hello Makers,

Our K-8 makerspace is looking to purchase a sublimation printer. Our main purpose is to print our Ultimate Team's jerseys each year, but I'm sure we will find many other uses. Are there any particular printers that you recommend or advise to avoid? Budget is under $1000 and we are capable of converting a printer to sublimation ink, if needed. Speaking of, does anyone have pros/cons for converting an inkjet to run sublimation ink?

I would also love to hear any advice about this.  I just saw a sublimation printer while visiting Clara Ngo at Hillbrook (👋) and put it on my list of equipment to look into!

I use the Epson ET - 2720. It's been great so far. 

I hear that if it already had ink in it from the inkjet, you can't flush it out to make it sublimation. We started it with sublimation when we bought it new.
