Please share any of these opportunities - they are all designed to support folks from formal and informal education spaces as well as from a variety of experience levels with maker education.
We would love to see folks at our fifth annual convening in Pittsburgh, October 12-13th (a great space to learn from/with the community, shout outs to presenters!) - Register Here.
and also... join us for workshops focused on activity design, curriculum, documentation, and assessment! While most of our workshops are currently in the SF Bay Area - we will also be offering one in Houston, TX and one in Kailua, HI this year.
Here is our next workshop - coming up in a month and a half...
Join Maker Ed for a hands-on, experiential workshop coming up Oct 31 - Nov 1st (in Berkeley, CA) that is great for educators who are thinking about different ways to measure learning and progress outside of traditional test taking models. This experience develops practices around documentation; both your own documentation as well as supporting learners’ documentation of their learning.
Why documentation? Documentation gives us the opportunity to make our learning visible and collect evidence of learning which provides us opportunities to authentically assess learning. Our workshop focuses on supporting participants to think about how they would document and assess learning beyond content and skill - into process and mindset.
We would love to have you at our workshop - please register here if you are interested and reach out with any questions you have.
Thanks much - Aaron
