Hi all,
Wanted to share a summer camp offering. It's an AI and Cybersecurity week-long program for summer 2026, and what makes it stand out is who is teaching it: the instructional team comes from the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) — a team of working scientists and engineers.
A bit on ASCTE for those who haven't come across it: it's the nation's only high school built around integrating cyber technology and engineering into every subject area. It's a tuition-free, public residential/commuter magnet school in Huntsville, AL. Their seniors do year-long internships with sponsors like Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Leidos, and RTX.
June 22-26 | Intelligence, Encryption & Digital Systems
This 5-day program introduces students to AI and cybersecurity through hands-on investigations and creative exploration. They explore hidden communication techniques and network analysis, learning how information moves and hides in digital environments. The week culminates in a narrative-driven investigation that brings together all their skills using network analysis, code-breaking, and AI pattern recognition. Throughout the week, theatre sessions provide opportunities for creative character work and storytelling that reinforce technical concepts, while STEAM activities offer hands-on, screen-free breaks.
