Installation Issues - jogl and jzy3d

Hello,

I have 64 bit Windows OS.

1. I have a problem to install JOGL which seems to be prerequisite for
jzy3d.

I try running this
http://jogamp.org/deployment/jogamp-current/jogl-all-awt.jnlp

but the java web starter simply pops up and disappears, no idea why.
Trying searching the web - nothing.

2. As an alternative I downloaded some offline pack called jogamp-
windows-amd64
which contains these DLLs

but it seems some DLLs which jzy3d needs are missing here (are not in
this list).

First I get the famous error from your FAQ :)
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jogl in
java.library.path
Then when I copy jogl_desktop.dll under the name of jogl.dll, I am
able to get past this one but I get a new problem.
Exception in thread "main" javax.media.opengl.GLException:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jogl_awt in java.library.path

3. So I wonder if there exists somewhere a detailed instruction how to
install JOGL
and what to install from it (which DLLs I need) in order to get jzy3d
working?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Working DLL are standing on the subversion repository:
for 0.9: http://code.google.com/p/jzy3d/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Frun%2Fwindows-amd64
for 0.8: http://code.google.com/p/jzy3d/source/browse/#svn%2Fbranches%2F0.8.1%2Fbin%2Fwin32 (0.8 has no win64bits binaries)

0.9 works well for my windows7 64b laptop.

I took the DLLs from your second link because I have version 0.8.4 of jzy3d.

 

Still no luck – error attached – it says “Can't find dependent libraries”.

 

Do I need other DLLs except these 4 you told me to pull?

Hi,
V0.9 is available there: http://www.jzy3d.org/releases/0.9alpha2/
It can be built from source available on subversion as well.
