Java 1.7.0_21 breaking jZebra

Hello,

I have been using jZebra successfully for about a week. This morning my Windows machines (Vista and 7) updated to java version 1.7.0_21 and jZebra stopped working.
Whenever I try to make a javascript call to jZebra I get back two errors "Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject" and "Uncaught Error: Liveconnect call for Applet ID 2 is not allowed in this JVM instance".
I have tried this in Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer and I get the same results in all three browsers. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello Noel,

I am having similar problems here. My problem was jnlp failing to find a file in a cache. Disabled JNLP and returned back to old applet tags to save the day. This is the last straw for me actually, I'll stop using java applets as soon as possible because every update or two is a major issue.

Thanks for the advise. Unfortunately I am not using JNLP and I am using the old applet tags and it still does not work.

If there was some cross browser supported way to print labels and pdfs that did not involve java, I would jump on it.

This has been reported by a few people now.  I have not had the time recently to investigate this.  If you would like immediate attention, please contact me privately and we can make an arrangement to debug this issue and make the appropriate changes to work with the new version of Java.

Reporting in for the same issue:

Uncaught Error: Liveconnect call for Applet ID 8 is not allowed in this JVM instance 

Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject.

I get these error messages for the manual <applet> or the deployJava() inclusion method...

Do you have a <applet mayscript="true" ... ><param name="mayscript" value="true"/> ... ?

I do feel like a NPObject error may belong to that.

There have been multiple reports that update 21 breaks the applet.

I'm not yet familiar with "LiveConnect".  I can only assume this will require a rewrite.
