A new aspect of the Connected Classroom Conference is the Internet
Superhighway Billboard Promenade, sponsored by Microsoft. Essentially, the
Billboard Promenade is a "poster session" of Internet projects being done
in classrooms. The first 50 Billboard submissions get free registrations
for the conference!
In talking with my friend Marlene Goss, the program director, she informed
me that a number of free registrations are still available. She also told
me that first prize for the Promenade is a Compaq notebook computer. Given
that you get a free registration for the conference at a minimum, and could
possibly win a brand new laptop-- it sure sounds like a good deal to me.
My only wish is that I had a project to submit right now. For those of you
who are actively involved in projects, let me encourage you to send in
something.
