This dyed-in-the-wool Mac user has been told that if he wants to remain
a part of the computing going on at the school, he must get a PC for the
next school year.
I am looking at a machine from Gateway 2000 that has a 200 mhz Intel
processor with MMX, 32 meg of RAM, 2 meg VRAM, software, a 17" monitor and
other assorted goodies for $2,300. Are there bigger and better things on
the immediate horizon or should I just buy now knowing it is impossible to
ever have the definitive machine?
