Sometimes the device boots up at about 138 mA for a few seconds then
climbs to about 143 mA as the working screen comes up and stays there
(various settings alter this slightly). However sometimes there are
two abrupt peaks to about 200 ma at beginning of boot, first one when
the boot screen comes up and second one ending just before the working
screen appears. Not sure yet but the non-peaky boot seems to be after
the device has been running for maybe twenty minutes (?) and is warmed
up.

Warmup does not seem to be a factor; however once it has decided on a
method it retains that method for many restarts.

It has now developed a third method: Long peak at startup to at least
220 ma, than back down to 143 ma. Note: it's likely that previous
double peak reported as 200 ma is actually ~220 ma.

Is it an option to replace the TLC5510?
