It's been a long time since the last official release. Today, we are very proud to introduce JVNMobileGIS version 1.0.4.
We decided to skip version 1.0.3 because there was a major feature added. JVNMobileGIS now comes with basic location-based feature using Bluetooth GPS device.
Firgure 1. View your current location with GPS.

Detail change log:
  • Basic location-based feature with Bluetooth GPS device
  • Save map to image file
  • Layers sorting
  • GZIP transfering (if applicable)
  • Dutch language
  • Visual Tango icons for better apperance
  • Display total transfered data in About screen
  • Simple in-memory caching based on URL
  • Antenna build file
  • New logo (from Bright IconSet)
  • No more executable version (EXE files) due to security concern
  • Other enhancements and bug fixes

Download JVNMobileGIS v1.0.4 now.

Hi everyone.
I've recently discovered this mobile application and it seems very
nice.
But I have one question: is it possible to load local map on mobile
device without using remote servers? in other words offline use.
thank you

Hi defelix,

Yes, it is possible and I know it's an important feature. We planned to include it in coming version (see http://code.google.com/p/jvnmobilegis/issues/detail?id=31). Feel free to comment.

Regards,
