Hi all -

Here are the minutes from today's meeting. I want to draw your attention to the two motions we are sending to Session.

1.) MOTION to SESSION - Dissolve the Social Justice Committee for 1 year. If needed, special focussed Task Forces will report directly to Session about their actions. Budget line items affected will be used by Task Forces as needed.

Rationale - we really are just a reporting body with a budget line item. In order to save time and promote the work of justice, we are proposing dissolving the Social Justice committee for 1 year. If we need to be reformed, then Session can do so. WE ARE NOT STOPPING OUR SOCIAL JUSTICE WORK!!! We are simply changing how we function as a church. This also will allow for more focus on implementing our Anti-Racism Report.

2.)MOTION to SESSION - PCIC $500; Keep Tucson Together $500; More Light Presbyterians $250; Presbyterian Peace Fellowship $250; Casa Alitas $250 (buy an Amazon gift card for them or memo to purchase wish list items); Afghan Refugee Meals Program $250 additional from what Session voted for last meeting

This is spending our budget for 2021.
