Let's talk about dieting today.

There are so many people in this world that are starving to death, but
in advanced countries there are many overweight people who go on
diets.
I have to admit I'm also no a diet right now.
With so many diet products on the market, it's hard to decide what's
the most appropriate way to go on a diet.
Crash dieting is very popular among young women, but they later
realize that it doesn't work. Our society is so conscious of physical
attractiveness.
This causes some people to crash-diet or even get liposuction to look
thinner.
Looking thinner becomes a strong pressure for young women.
The results are sometimes hazardous to their health because some
become anorexic or bulimic.
The worst-case scenario is death from over-dieting.

2. Why do people go on a diet? What are some problems people
encounter while on diet?
3. You've probably heard of many ways of dieting. What would you
rocommand as the best way to diet healthy?
4. Do you think our society is too conscious of physical
attractiveness?
5. Korean society seeks women with skinny figures. Why do you think
so?

WOMEN'S SMOKING

1. Do you smoke? If so, when and why did you start smoking?
If no and if quit smoking, when and why did you quit smoking, and did
you easily quit smoking?
If no and if haven't yet started smoking, why?

2. Recently the rate of smoking men is decreasing, but that of smoking
women is drastically increasing. What do you think is the real reason?

3. (to women) Do you have any feeling and opinion to your father or
brother's smoking? Do you take into consideration in deciding your
spouse whether he smokes or not?
(to men) Do you have any feeling and opinion to your mother or
sister's smoking? Do you take into consideration in deciding your
spouse whether she smokes or not?

4. It is generally accepted that smoking gives more harm to women than
men because of women's pregnancy, So some people insist that women
should not start smoking at any cost. Do you agree with that
assertion?

5. Nowadays we can easily find out smoking women at public places. But
Our society has some prejudice toward smoking women. Even some people
have extreme prejudice that smoking young women may have somewhat
liberal attitude to sex. What do you think about that prejudice?
Do you think that smoking young women have liberal sexual tendency?

6. Nowadays our society has become more generous toward women's
drinking and smoking, But some parents strictly forbid their
children's drinking and smoking. After your marriage and giving birth
to your children(especially if they are daughters), if you happen to
know that they start drinking and smoking at adolescent age, then as
their parents what action are you going to show to them?
