The first major update to Windows 11 is now rolling out with several new features and improvements. Microsoft has today started the official rollout process of Windows 11 version 22H2, which is now live for the public globally. While the official update notification might take some time for every eligible PC to get, you can also choose to install Windows 11 manually on your devices.
The official rollout of Windows 11 v22H2 may take a little time to finish. If you don't want to wait, you can start the manual installation process without depending on Microsoft to send you a notification. If you are a Windows enthusiast and can't wait to install Windows 11, you can manually install and upgrade your machine to the brand new Windows 11 version 22H2. We would, however, recommend our readers wait at least a few weeks (if not months) before they install the latest version on their daily drivers.
Although it is not a good idea to rush and install a new feature update as soon as it becomes available to avoid potential bugs and other problems during the early days, you can upgrade manually in at least three ways using the different tools and Windows Update. You can even upgrade early using the Windows Insider Program.
When SU10 came out - started to experienced severe stuttering in VR with directx 11, and found in this forum the cure to it - stopping the holographicshell manually until I found out inadvertenly that Nvidia driver 526.47 (27/10) fixed the problem
Same problem reappeared with SU11 - this time with both Directx11 and 12. Stopping the holographicshell manually eliminates completely the stuttering, even with ULTRA settings in VR.
RTX3080 - drivers 526.86 (10/Nov) .
This has been a problem for years, I only desire to do a scan when I tell the program to do so, like just before I shut down. In a previous contact years ago I was advised in the scheduling section to uncheck the scan only at idle time in the setup for monthly and/or weekly. Great that works for a short while but it reverts to bad old ways. Lately I have to do this almost every day and it is a pain. My scan is set to manual what is so hard getting the program to obey that.
In my case, YMC is set to Manual in Windows Service Manager. To get Windows back into Desktop mode, I have to manually start and stop YMC from an admin console: net start ymc && net stop ymc upon every system restart.
You need to click on Join this Device to Azure Active Directory link from Alternate Actions to set up a work or school account window. You need to log in to Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC with Microsoft account to complete this step manually.
This is because on computers that do not meet the Windows 11 system requirements, Microsoft does not allow the latest version 22H2 to be installed automatically via Windows Update or to manually upgrade via the Windows 11 Installation Assistant (aka "Windows 11 Update Assistant"), with error "This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to install Windows 11".
It should be noted that this update is a so-called preview update. This is optional and by default must be manually triggered to download and install. It contains the fixes that will be rolled out in the security update for the following month. The list of updates for Windows 11 can be viewed on this Microsoft page.
The most obvious change is the addition of a multiple-tab interface. You can still choose to open multiple File Explorer windows, but keeping folders open in separate tabs makes it easy to cut, copy, and paste between different locations without having to juggle multiple windows. The tabbed interface behaves much like a modern browser, so expect an easy learning curve.
One of my favorite features in Windows 11 is the set of enhancements to the tools that allow you to snap windows into prearranged layouts. In the initial release of Windows 11, you could assign a window to a layout using snap layouts that appear when you hover the mouse over the window's Maximize button.
The Do Not Disturb feature, which temporarily suppresses all but high-priority notifications, now has an on-off button at the top of notification center. When you manually enable Do Not Disturb, it stays on until you turn it off.

Both of my laptop machines (which are fully modern and capable of any updates) and stuck on Windows v1803. No matter how often I go to the windows update, the best it will offer are updates to the existing v1803; and no offer to upgrade to v1809 at all. Just tried again today, and same thing. Haa anyone else encountered this, or am I the only one in the world to do so, which may indeed be true! Very strange.
If you installed Windows 11 without TPM on an unsupported computer, you will not be able to get the Windows 11 2H22 update properly. You will need to install it manually by downloading the Windows 11 ISO or by using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Please follow the 2nd and 3rd methods in this guide for more details.
If none of the above methods solve your problem of Windows 11 22H2 update not showing, you need to download the ISO file of Windows 11 2H22 update from Microsoft and run it manually on your computer to install it. Here is a way for you to download the Windows 11 22H2 ISO file.
Most apps require credentials which becomes an issue when you need to enter them latter. Could d the password manager application be installed/used on Samsung TV and be used to auto fill the credentials. I do have password manager on my phone but that requires entering the credentials manually.
