It is ON! Time, once again, TO BRING THE JUSTICE.

The 8th Annual JusticeLeague Bay to Breakers is Sunday, May 15th 2005.

Registration is available online: http://www.baytobreakers.com

Who's walking? Who's running? Who wants to break into the top 10,000?
Who wants to "just finish"?

Any out of towners who need crash space, let me know, we're in The
City. We'll have a car at the finish line and can make a BART run
and/or otherwise drive back to the starting line after the race.

Race weekend activities have not been decided yet but will likely
include Saturday night dinner for carb loading, any last minute costume
creation/adjustments, probably and approriately themed "movie night",
and/or the errant crime-fighting, do-gooding.

Static details available at http://justiceleague.org.

Can I use my inline skates? I don't do "running". That's for "healthy"
people.

There are some rules on the B2B site about use of "wheels". i.e. no
bikes, but "pushable things" like beer kegs in shopping carts are OK.
I think you can use inline skates, if you dress up like a robot and
someone pushes you.

Robin is running this year! Well... given I just cleared the vacation
time and started training today... an energetic walk might be more
like it. But I'm psyched to go! However, I'm short a place to crash
Saturday night. Any suggestions?

Laura and I are in the Presidio, so about 2.5 miles north of the
finish line. You are welcome to crash on our Futon. I promise no last
minute T-shirt or CDROM production craziness. I've decided to mail
them out later.

The League will probably not be huge this year. We have The Flash,
Mrs. The Flash, and Professor Superman that are confirmed. Duffman
(Uday) says he'll make it but he is unlikely to run. The rumor mill
says Dr. Destiny will "be in the area", so as always, he remains a
complete mystery. Batman is out of town and Green Lantern won't be
running and Green Arrow he has knee problems. So we might be as few as
4 or 5 Leaguers. But JUSTICE HAS NO MINIMUM REQUIREMENT!

Professor Superman (Berkeley Professor Richard Rhodes and Laura's
ex-Advisor) says he's been running 5 miles a day so he's probably in
the best shape despite being the elder Leaguer. He wants to finish in
the top 10,000 this year and thinks we can do it even if we run 10
minute miles, as long as we start near the front. Since I'm not quite
sure I can do the whole 7.5 miles without bursing a spleen, he may not
be accurate in his assessment, but we might try to get near the front
this year.

Anyway, you are welcome to stay with us!! Let me know. We don't have
big Justice plans other than hitting the expo on Sat. and getting some
folk together for dinner pre-race and then hanging out a footstock,
but it would be great to have you for any/all activities and we can
give you a key to the apartment so if you are doing any other visiting
you can come and go as you please.
