Hello open source group,

We are excited to share that I’ve joined the team at EPIC as the first services and systems designer.

However, with the federal termination of the Justice40 Initiative, the original intent of this group no longer stands. Rather than assuming those who are enrolled in this google group have interest, capacity, or intentions to be involved in future iterations of this work, EPIC has decided to no longer host a monthly call or actively maintain this network.

That said, this is a wide ranging and civically-engaged group - we encourage you all to stay connected and use this mailing list to share resources and announcements.

From our end, EPIC, in partnership with other organizations, stood up the Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool (CEJST) and other important environmental tools and datasets at https://screening-tools.com after they were taken offline by the current administration. We encourage you all to get involved if you’d like to. Here are some recent projects that may be of interest: Trump Costs America, We are the Builders, 18F.org, the Data Foundation’s My Data Story, Grist’ tracking of the IRA and IIJA funding, and America’s Essential Data.

Also, if you are interested, sign-up to get involved in EPIC’s plans to develop a National Drinking Water Explorer tool.

Please continue to share updates with this group moving forward.

Take care of yourselves,

Kameron and the team at EPIC
