Sooo, is this what you refer to as a cname:
A DS-ER is a Subdomain that works like an ER (External Redirection).
For example, you might want to set up a subdomain of "external"
(http://external.example.com/) which points to an IP address not
located on the FutureQuest network.
The destination of the DS-ER has to be either an IP address, or a hostname (example: 192.168.0.1 or mail.example.com).
