I'd say a fair comparison...and a good indication of how overpriced
Vespas are and what a great value you have in Kymco. I too have a
maroon standard People 250 and love it--I will ride it into the
ground...unless....Kymco ever gets with the program and comes out with
a People 500 (shouldn't be too difficult....See Aprilia Scarabeo 500.

Very good review on the PS250! I like the 3-Way comparison as well.
Yes, the gas mileage greatly improves after break-in, and the ride is
much smoother. The suspension softens up too. I had mine set on SOFT
when I bought it, but later switched it to MEDIUM. Well..... either
the suspension softened up..... or I gained a few pounds! (:o}

I noticed that the mileage got better on my (lowly) Standard People
250 after a few hundred miles. Both the plain-Jane and the 'S' People
250s seemed smooth.... until I hopped on the Vespa. Certainly not
$2,000 worth of smooth in my opinion, but still...

500..........AAAAAAAAAAuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhnnnnnnmmmnnnnnnnnn.
I am still waiting for word on the 300cc big bore kit for the standard
P250. It claims a 20% improvement in performance...500cc would
probably lift the front wheel!!!

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm, a guy CAN lift the front wheel..... with
just the right rolling throttle, rearward weight, and foolish risk-
taking.

Not that I've ever done it MYSELF, but I know this guy who's neighbor
had a cousin who had a boyfriend who saw somebody tell a story about
doing it once.
