Hi, I'm just wondering whether "Just the Word" has any capability of
handling wildcard searches. I like the accessibility of this site for
English language learners over more dense corpora, but have had
trouble finding a way to use JTW to help ESL writers to check when
they're uncertain about whether or not they've used the correct
collocation or when they're doing a second draft based on my feedback
on the first, which could include collocation comments.
I've provided some example errors a student might be unsure of or I
might provide collocation comments on and the way I would direct them
to search for the correct collocation in COCA. Can you let me know
whether JTW can support such searches and if so, how they can be
done? Thanks!
Monica
