Greetings Paddlers!
Greenland or Bust would like to help you accomplish your New Year's Resolution of paddling more, so we're writing to invite you to join us for Storm Gathering USA 2017, which takes place in Trinidad, California from March 3 to 5. Spaces are filling FAST, and participants are registered from all over the globe, including Europe, the UK and the US. Have YOU registered yet?
Many classes only have one or two open spots left. This means that if you haven't registered yet, better get on it for the best class selection. Click HERE to see the class descriptions.
New this year:
- Instructor Specialty Classes (classes that an instructor is well-known for teaching): These classes include Simplifying the Roll with Helen Wilson (only one spot left), Wild Harvesting with Georgianna Wood and Bruce Hales (only two spots left), Surfski Paddling with Kenny Howell, Situational Rolling and Bracing with Bill Vonnegut, Unscrambling the Scramble with Roger Schumann and White Water of the Sea with Jeff Laxier and Cate Hawthorne. In addition to the Instructor Specialty Classes, there are also the usual favorites designed for advanced-beginners, intermediate paddlers, advanced paddlers and instructor-level paddlers. - On Saturday there's the option of taking a full-day class or two half-day classes.
- Additional surprises to come.
Back this year:
- Rocky Whitlow (Our AMAZING chef. Her meals are based on sustainable, sound nutrition and minimal waste. Her dishes are organic, local when available and always delicious.)
- Fantastic coaches.
- A great learning experience.
- A rather remarkable ocean.

One final note… Trinidad is GORGEOUS. Wherever you're coming from, it's worth the trek. But just to make it a little simpler, we're about a five-hour drive north from San Francisco, an eight-hour drive south from Portland, or a hop, skip and eight-mile jump from the Eureka/Arcata airport (airport code ACV), and there's even an airport shuttle that can help you out with that jump.
This is one Storm that you don't want to miss...
