Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you all to the Final Conference of the DEUCE Project (Digitalising European Uncontested Claims Enforcement), which will be held in a hybrid format (in person in Brussels and online) on 19–20 February 2026, hosted by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The conference focuses on the digitalisation of EU cross-border civil and consumer enforcement, with particular attention to:

  • algorithmic and automated enforcement of consumer rights,

  • access to justice and digital inclusion,

  • EU enforcement instruments (European Order for Payment, European Enforcement Order, Brussels I bis),

  • AI-assisted legal interfaces and trust in digital justice,

  • national and comparative perspectives on digital civil procedure.

The programme brings together academics, EU institutions, and practitioners, and may be of particular interest to scholars working on EU private law, civil procedure, consumer law, digital justice, and law & technology.

Participation is free of charge, subject to registration (registration link)

Further details and the registration link are available in the conference programme.

Kind regards,
DIKE research team (website)
