Dear community,

The Artificial Intelligence and Law Journal’s Special Issue on "Applications and Evaluation of Large Language Models in the Legal Domain" is now available in its complete form online: https://link.springer.com/collections/cdbhcfcgae

Underscoring the growing importance of the topic, there were 55 submissions from researchers located around the world, a record for AI & Law Journal special issues.  Following a rigorous peer-review process, fifteen high-quality papers were accepted for the publication. The majority of these papers are available via Open Access. The Special Issue also contains an editorial Introduction that categorizes as well as summarizes the accepted papers, in addition to discussing current trends and anticipated future developments in the field: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10506-025-09487-1.

The guest editors of the Special Issue -- Jack G. Conrad, Saptarshi Ghosh, Debasis Ganguly and Kripabandhu Ghosh -- sincerely thank the AI & Law Journal editors for the opportunity to compile these seminal works, as well as the researchers who submitted their valuable works to the issue. The editors also heartily thank all of the experts who participated in reviewing the submitted papers. These reviewers are acknowledged at the end of the editorial Introduction.

Thanks and best regards
