Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share the finalized program for the First Workshop on AI & Open Government (AIOG 2026), a full-day pre-conference workshop co-located with ICAIL 2026 in Singapore on Monday, 8 June 2026.
AIOG is the first dedicated venue bridging AI, information retrieval, legal AI, NLP, e-discovery, and open government practice, with a focus on AI for government transparency: FOIA/Woo automation, AI-assisted sensitivity review, RAG over public archives, LLMs for government applications, and agentic AI architectures.
The day (09:00–17:30 SGT) features two keynotes, 14 peer-reviewed papers across three sessions, and an interactive closing panel.
Keynotes
The entire workshop will be live streamed via Zoom, so you can attend remotely. To join in person or virtually, register for a single-day ticket through the ICAIL 2026 registration page.

- Kripabandhu Ghosh (IISER Kolkata): Explainable AI for the Indian legal system, with a focus on large language models
