We are pleased to share the finalized program for the
First Workshop on AI & Open Government (AIOG 2026), a full-day pre-conference workshop co-located with ICAIL 2026 in Singapore on Monday, 8 June 2026.
AIOG is the first dedicated venue bridging AI, information retrieval, legal AI, NLP, e-discovery, and open government practice, with a focus on AI for government transparency: FOIA/Woo automation, AI-assisted sensitivity review, RAG over public archives, LLMs for government applications, and agentic AI architectures.
The day (09:00–17:30 SGT) features
two keynotes,
14 peer-reviewed papers across three sessions, and an interactive closing panel.
Keynotes- Jaap Kamps (University of Amsterdam, ICAI OpenGov Lab): The FOIA Challenge: Turning Blackbox Answer Generation into Transparent Evidence Finding
- Kripabandhu Ghosh (IISER Kolkata): Explainable AI for the Indian legal system, with a focus on large language models
