Terminal Launcher on Windows...

If I "jupyter lab" on the mac I get a nice terminal launcher which I do not see if I do the same on Windows... On both OSes I installed jupyter lab using "conda install -c conda-forge jupyterlab". So, is the terminal not supported on Windows or have I made a mistake.

Also, how could I find this out myself?

There are apparently some hope it could work one day under "Windows10 Subsystem for Linux" (WSL).

For any "current" Windows terminal (DOS or powershell), there is apparently zero hope and zero work at the moment.

Terminals are not supported on Windows in the existing Jupyter Notebook either, but as Big Stone said we made gain support with WSL. The terminal is supported if you log into to a Jupyter server that was launched from a POSIX machine from a Windows machine.
