interactive plotting on iOS

Note sure if this is a limitation of the iOS Safari browser or not, but if I open up an ipython notebook, and use

%matplotlib notebook

I find that while my plots show up without a problem, I do not have the ability to shift/zoom the figures as I would in a desktop browser.
